PULSATIVE is a neo-brass collective from Cologne, Germany, that transforms iconic house, techno and EDM tracks into an organic live set. Powered by rhythm and breath, eight musicians turn clubs, streets, festival stages and selected private events into spaces of communal motion.

A PULSATIVE performance unfolds like a modern-day hypnotic ritual, bringing together party people of all generations – from 1990s rave veterans and festival audiences to Gen-Z club crowds. Ecstatic moments, spontaneous shouts of joy and sweating, moving bodies are all part of the experience.

Pulsative, that’s club culture acoustique: precise like a machine, driven by humans. Subsonic sousaphone basslines, gritty bari sax riffs, minimalist horn patterns, four-to-the-floor grooves and melodic house textures blend the asthethics of electronic dance music with the raw energy of a large ensemble.

Initiated by a classical composer and a jazz saxophonist, the ecclectic group assembles some of Cologne’s finest brass and percussion players from the city’s jazz, classical and Latin music scenes.
